28 Weeks and Definitely Showing!

Here is a picture of my ever growing belly. Everyone says I am carrying very low. We are still up in the air about names for the little tyke. The baby is active as always especially at night or when Andrew plays motorboat on my belly.
I have hung up my cleats for this season and am helping to coach softball. I have realized that it is much more fun playing than coaching.

I have my 28 week check up this Thursday. Will let you know how it goes.

24 Week Check Up

Yesterday was my 24 week checkup. My belly measured 23 inches, which the Dr said was right on track. I am all belly and it is starting to grow. The heartbeat was very strong and the baby seems to be healthy. He also said that the baby weighs about 1 and 1/2 to 1 and 3/4 lbs at this stage.
The baby is really making it's presence known, as it kicks and elbows all the time. It wasn't a big fan of the riding lawn mower the other day, so we will need to toughen it up once it is born.
I did break down and buy a maternity bathing suit even though I swore I wouldn't. Figured I didn't want to subject the world to having to see me squeezed into my two-piece. This will make my mother happy.
Still no progress with names, we have taken a break for a few weeks. Still open to suggestions. Will post some more pictures soon.

Names?

The search is on........
We have a few contenders but nothing that we love. Andrew and I are on opposite ends of the spectrum. We are having a hard time agreeing on anything. And Spires isn't the easiest last name to work with. We welcome your suggestions...... so post a comment and give us some help.

22 weeks

My belly is starting to take shape now. Still feeling good.
No cravings, just lots of ice cream normal for this time of year.

20 week Ultrasound

Here is the baby at the 20 week ultrasound. Less Active than the 12 week, I think the technician was happier. They took measurements of everything. The Doctor said that it is of average size and growing as it should. The baby weighs a little under a pound. We were able to see the hands and toes. You could count the long fingers as it was opening up it's hands and then making a fist. They were unable to get a full profile shot. We videotaped it, so that was real neat. And I have gained 5lbs so far... But looking at me you would think I was back in college as I have a nice beer belly.

Andrew was a trooper and let us keep the sex a surprise.
Any guesses?

Our First Ultrasound

We had our first ultrasound on Thursday March 8th. It so weird to see the baby moving all around and not feeling anything. The little bugger would not sit still for 30 seconds while the technician took the measurements. I started laughing because every time the tech would try to zoom in the baby would arch its back or do a somersault. Everything was so clear, you could see fingers and toes. I think that it is going to be a girl, Andrew is thinking the same since my hormones are all out of whack.
They moved my due date up a week to September 16th. Only 25 more weeks. Our 16 week checkup is on April 5th.

Here is our First Baby Picture!
