Happy Halloween

Griffin went low key for his first Halloween. At 5 weeks he is 9 lbs and 10 oz. He is starting to lose some of his golden locks, mostly in the front. :o(
He likes to make faces and lets you know when he isn't happy with what is going on. He doesn't like to smile for the camera though. We are trying to change that. He is starting to focus on things and will follow them with his eyes. We are having a lot of fun with him. He loves his activity mat and has in depth conversations with the monkey and elephant.

His First Bottle

Tonight Griffin had his first bottle. He did real good.
He will be a month old tomorrow. Time sure flies, unless it's 3am and he is screaming with gas. His weight is now 9 lbs and .05 oz. He seems to have no problem putting on the lbs. His legs are still very skinny (something he gets from his mom). We are starting to see a lot of Andrew in his face especially in the eyes and mouth. He is a happy baby most of the time. Gas is really the only thing that seems to upset him. I have been monitoring my diet, which has helped but he still has some rough times. When all else fails I resort to giving him the drops, which helps.
I know I am slacking in the picture department and will try my best over the next few days.

3 week weigh in

Tuesday Griffin and I went to our Mommy & Me class. He tipped the scales at 8 lbs and 4.5 oz. Which is a weight gain of 11 oz from last week. His cheeks are starting to round out and he he has grown a second chin! He is starting to wear more of his clothes.

Griffin's First Friend

Sunday we stopped in Ipswich, Mass to visit our friends Dave and Erin. This is there little girl Avery, who was born in the end of June. Such a difference in those few months and she is a peanut for her age. Griffin had a very long day and was tired, this was the best we could do sitting him up. Can't wait until he gets a little bigger so they can play together.

2 Week Check Up

Yesterday he had his 2 week physical. The pediatrician said that he looks real good. His weight is now 7 lbs and 9 oz, he has gained over a pound since he left the hospital. His cheeks are starting to fill out, hopefully it will filter down to the rest of his body.
Sleeping at night has been a toss up. He has had maybe 4 bad nights but the rest of the time he is getting up about every 2-3 hours.

Andrew was calling Griffin "K Fed" because of his velour track suit. I think he looks cute.

Bath Time

Well we had our first bath, He only cried when we took him out and he was naked. He did stop crying but only because he was going tinkle. It wasn't as traumatizing as we had expected.
When he does cry he pulls on his face leaving those little red spots. They do go away after a little while and he doesn't cry that much so that is a good thing as well.

One Week Check Up

Monday was Griffin's one week check up. His weight was 6 lbs and 14.5 oz which means he has gained an 1.5 oz since he was born. Although it is hard to tell he is so tiny. Every day he is more alert and making more faces. He has found his hands and they keep him entertained. He has had a few rough nights but that is expected. His umbilical cord fell off yesterday so he will be getting his first real bath tonight. And I will post some pictures of the big event in the next few days.
