T.G.E.O

Thank Goodness Easter is Over.... I am hoping to not have to hear "more eggs Momma" for another year. It has been nonstop since we colored them 2 weeks ago! Saturday Griffin went to his first egg hunt and had a blast. Thanks Katie! We had a whole room to ourselves. He didn't totally get the concept as he had to open every single egg he picked up. Then we had a nice lunch and went on to play some games. As you can see from the pictures he really liked the bean bag toss, he actually was pretty good too. We might make an athlete out of him yet. We were doing ok with the face painting until I reached for my camera, then it went downhill.... I have to accept the fact that I might have to sacrifice one or two photo ops once in a while. He kept telling everyone that "Momma bunny face" it was pretty funny. He did ok in the moon bounce for the first time by himself. There was a little girl who he was flirting with.
Sunday the bunny stopped by and left a nice basket for Griffin, although he was more interested in the fruit strips than any of the other stuff including the interactive Elmo book. So that was a little disappointing. We went over to the camp and he had another egg hunt with his cousins and the neighbor Joseph. Unfortunately I forgot my camera at home. Later we went to dinner and then back to Mark and Elizabeth's for some playtime with Wyatt. The bunny brought Wyatt chickees for Easter. Griffin thought they were fun but was a little rough with them. We are going to go back and see how big they have gotten in a week or so.

Happy Easter!

It is always an adventure when we go to get our pictures taken. We were 3 pictures into the shoot and Griffin tripped and smacked his face off of the floor. He has a nice red bump on his head and his eye was a little swollen. After the tears we were ready to try again... I love the second picture... can you tell I have been trying to get him to pose for me? He is really a ham.
Hope you have a Great Easter. If you want to see more pics from the photo shoot just email me and I will forward you the link to check them out.

Getting ready for Easter!

This weekend flew by. Saturday Griffin and I went out to breakfast and then to the grocery store. He really likes the cozy coupe shopping cart, it might be because I bump into everything as we go through the aisles. No endcap is safe. Luckily it was still early so there weren't any innocent people hurt. The smile and giggles on his face make all the embarassment worth it.
In the afternoon we went over to the lake to visit with Andrew's parents. We had a visit with the neighbors son, Joseph. They haven't played together since the fall. They will have a lot of fun this summer. We stayed for dinner and had a nice visit with Andrew's Aunt Sue and Uncle Dave.
Sunday we played outside. The weather was perfect, nice and warm and little wind. There is no more snow in the front yard but the back and side yard have a long way to go before we see grass. Griffin tried out his new baseball bat and tee. He did a good job. The challenge is going to be keeping the dogs from stealing all the balls. Griffin is learning that the dogs have their own toys outside including tennis balls.
We dyed eggs in the afternoon. That was a lot of fun. Griffin didn't make as much of a mess as I had anticipated. And most of them are uncracked. It was a great weekend!

Fun at the Playground!

I got out of work a little early yesterday so off to the playground we went to enjoy the warm weather. Griffin had a lot of fun going down the different slides. He is starting to be more self assured, he is taking more risks. Needless to say it scares the hell out of me.
This is really the first time he has been able to run around since he started to walk. He is definately getting the hang of it. We ran around the infield a little, he likes to chase after Andrew. We brought his wagon back from the lake, so hopefully the weather will be nice this weekend and we can go for a walk around the neighborhood.
