Labor Day weekend Griffin and I took a road trip to Connecticut for my birthday and have an early birthday party with my family. It was a great time. I woke up on Friday and said "Griffin do you know what today is?" He said "I don't know" I told him it was Momma's birthday. He then said " I'ma havin a birthday soon. I'ma gonna be 2!" And that was the end of Mom's birthday.. although he did sing me Happy Birthday! It was real sweet.
While we were in Ct we had a sleep over with my nieces, who helped me bigtime with the cake and also get ready for the party. We also caught up with Tara and Alana at the park. Saturday afternoon was Griffin's party! It was HOT, HOT, HOT! Thankfully we had the pool. I tried to hold off as long as I could but I didn't last very long. It was an awesome day, I forgot how nice it is to have your family to make things easier. I was so stressed but soon realized that they all pitched in with everything so that was great! They are the best! Somethings get forgotten when you aren't reminded of them regularly.
Sunday my uncle had a BBQ which was nice. We headed back to Maine in the afternoon. Monday we caught up and had a playdate with Andrew's cousin Kathleen and her family. Her son, Carter is about 5 months older than Griffin. They had a lot of fun together. It was a great weekend!
