Nora Lyndsey Spires has arrived!

Nora arrived on Wednesday, August 25th at 9:32 pm. She weighed 7 lbs 3 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. She looks a lot like her proud big brother, Griffin.
We came home on Friday and are doing well. Nora is a great baby, a real sweetie. We went out on a family boat ride on Saturday, she slept the entire time. Hopefully she will like the boat and lake as much as her brother.
My mom is up this week helping us. It is great having the extra hands to help. Griffin doesn't start his new school until Tuesday so we are trying our best to keep him busy.
I haven't taken as many pictures as I would of liked.

This was Griffin's reaction when he woke up and heard the news that he was finally a big brother!

39 Weeks........and no baby

When will this torture end? We have made it to 39 weeks today so I officially have 7 days until my due date.... I was hoping to be holding the little monster by now. I am just hoping that she doesn't make me wait a week after her due date like her brother did. I went to the Dr last week and they did an ultrasound b/c my belly is measuring small (33cm) so they estimated that she is about 6lbs 11 oz, but they assured me that they can be off as much as 8 oz in either direction. I went again on Monday and I am still only 1 cm dialated. I have to tell you that I have been trying my best to kick start this baby into making her grand entrance but she seems content where she is! We go back for another ultrasound on Monday and then we will see what the Dr has to say.... Hopefully inducing me will be an option! I won't hold my breath though.
And no we still do not have a name

Saying GoodBye to Sunny Days!

Griffin on his first day at Sunny Days......

Griffin and his teacher, Miss Kristen.
Griffin's last day of Sunny Days is tomorrow, he will start a new school in the beginning of September. We are very excited. Here are some pictures of Griffin and his friends. They had a going away party for Griffin on Monday.

Ogunquit 2010

Tuesday we went to Ogunquit to spend the day with Andrew's Parents at the beach. Griffin had a blast. It was low tide when we got down there so he was able to play in the tide pools and splash around and be silly with Grammie. He played baseball with Poppa and Daddy for a good part of the afternoon. Then they went in the ocean and jumped waves. I hung back and watched, the water wasn't as warm as last year so I only went into my ankles. It was a great day!

My Family Visits!

My family came up for a week this past week. I didn't take too many pictures, I do have to upload the couple of videos that I took. My cousin, Beth came up for a few days and also my cousin, Debra and her girls came up for a day. Needless to say Griffin had a blast and enjoyed the non stop attention and fun. He has such a good time with my nieces, who teach him all sorts of funny things. He does something with Scotch tape and a moustache. You just have to see the three of them in action to understand.

37 WKS~ We Made It!

We made it to 37 weeks without any MAJOR problems, just a few hiccups along the way! Let's hope labor goes better the second time around. I did go to the Dr yesterday and they said that I am 50% effaced and that he head is down more than 1/2 way in my pelvis and the Dr tried to push it back up but she wasn't budging. And I am my cervix is a starting to open, just a little. We will see if I make it the next 21 days or not... I am thinking not but we will see.

Just thought these pictures were cute. Griffin was on his way to the tub the other night and decided to hijack our bed and wanted some snuggle time..... what choice did we have but to snuggle him?!?!
He gives the best snugs!
And kisses too!

August is Here!

August is Here and the countdown begins. This Thursday I will be 37 weeks and ok to deliver. I have had some "practice contractions" lately and am pretty tired at the end of the day. It didn't stop us from enjoying such a beautiful weekend. The weather couldn't of been any better. The nights were nice and cool, so it was great sleeping weather. And the days weren't too hot that I had to be in the lake all day. It was perfect! We spent the weekend at the lake. The neighbors had a lobster bake and bonfire which was great. Griffin played with his friend Joe all weekend. He was exhausted every night. We went out on the boat yesterday and the boys went tubing behind the jet ski. Griffin said he had fun but not enough to want to go again. He is still a little uneasy about stuff like that. He is getting a little better. Andrew jumped off of Frye's Leap last night and managed to only break his toe! Can't take him anywhere that he doesn't get hurt. At least we didn't have to go to the ER.

Still no progress with a name for the baby. Griffin might win afterall with Gus, who knows.
